Being the final day, we have to say farewell to Austin. Even though all of us at PowerPlant are saying goodbye the work done here will continue to reverberate for a long time. Many people were contacted personally for all eight of the church plants helped this week. So many hours that could not have been fulfilled were taken above and beyond this week.
On a personal note with the participants, they were 28 personal rededications from this week in Austin. Ten people wanted to become involved in full time Christian service and eight more showed to be interested in being involved in church planting.
So it looks like this week in Austin we were able to see amazing things through many different ways. It will be wonderful for the church planters here to see the progress made in the following weeks to come in bringing more people into the Kingdom of God!
The church planters here in Austin have been very blessed this week. The students that are here have been a huge help of service to them. The sports camps, water parks and VBS's have all had great turnouts. A great number of families have been reached this week thanks to the students service to the church planters. The church planters couldn't have ever reached this amount of people by themselves this week. Through the nightly church plant highlights we have learned through the church planters themselves as well as the students of how big a help the students are this week. We at PowerPlant just ask for your continued prayer as the week comes to its midpoint.
Today all the students were able to visit their church and ministry sites for the week. They were all pumped to begin their work and were really excited to see the week begin to unfold. The following list is how the youth's groups are lined up with each church plant for the week:
High Pointe Baptist - Romanian Baptist Church
Family Life Bible - Devaney/Manor Fellowship
FBC Hilton - Koinonia
Fort Bend Community - Iglesia de la Gracia
East Hill Baptist - Greater Parkway Baptist
Emmanuel Baptist - Phoenix Church
Flatonia Baptist - Capital City Fellowship
FBC Post - South Austin Community
All the students again are looking forward to the week, but do ask that we all pray for their energy and spirit to remain strong through the week.
Welcome to that whole other country out there, Texas. Every one of the student groups arrived safe and sound today. Austin has proven itself weird by being hotter than ever this year. No worries on the heat though because all the groups have been warned to bring lots of water to their ministry sites. We are expecting some amazing things to happen in this weird city!
