Charleston, WV - July 12-18

wrapping it up in Charleston...

This week has been awesome! Students have been pushed out of their comfort zone, telling others about Christ and serving those who need to see Jesus. God has definitely showed Himself this week to the students and their church planters. As the students head home tomorrow, pray that God will continue to use them in a powerful way in their hometown. Many students have shared Christ with someone for the first time this week, and are now equipped to take that home with them and witness to their friends. Praise God for everything He has done here and is still doing in the Charleston area!

Workin' Hard in the Neighborhood

Since Sunday, kids have been serving the Charleston area with a servant attitude. Students have been serving their church planters, helping with anything they have asked of them. On Monday groups had a set schedule of what they were to do for the week, but by Tuesday some of those plans had to be creative and rethink of ways to reach the community. Students have definitely been flexible and waiting to see what God is doing.

Please continue to pray for the students. Pray that God will refresh them, and renew their energy. Pray for the church planters and their ministry here in the Charleston, WV area.

Getting Started in Charleston...

Power Plant in Charleston has started strong. Groups arrived on Saturday, excited to start an awesome week here in Charleston. Groups have come from all over the country to serve here in West Virginia.

Today, they worshipped with their church planters. For many of the kids this was an eye opening experience. For some it was their first time at a church that was not their own, while others saw that you could worship God anywhere. After worship, students went with their church planters and helped them serve in the community.

Please pray for the students and their church plants. Pray that God will use them in a mighty way this week.
